Masonry Calculator
Count the bricks or blocks for a wall and the mortar cement and sand — for clay brick, fly-ash brick, AAC blocks or concrete blocks. Pick a block type and enter the wall size; thickness presets to the block, and you can adjust the joint and mortar ratio.

How it's calculated
The wall volume is length × height × thickness. Each unit occupies its size plus the mortar joint, so the count is the wall volume divided by that figure. The leftover is mortar, scaled by 1.33 to dry volume and split by your cement:sand ratio. AAC blocks are larger and use far less mortar than clay bricks.
Count = wall volume ÷ (block + joint). Mortar = wall volume − block volume, then ×1.33, split by ratio.
