House Construction Cost Calculator
The cost to build a house in India is driven by three things: how big it is, how well you finish it, and where you build. Enter your built-up area, finish level, city tier and floors to get a per-sq-ft rate and a total budget — civil and basic finishing only, excluding land and interiors.
Your build
Covers civil work and basic finishing. Excludes land, interiors/furnishing, boundary wall, approvals, architect fees and GST. Treat as a ±10–15% budgeting estimate, not a quotation.
How the estimate is built
We start from a typical standard-finish rate and adjust it for your choices: finish quality scales the rate up or down, the city tier reflects local labour and material costs, and extra floors add a little for formwork and staircase/lift. Multiply the adjusted rate by your total built-up area and you have the civil-and-finishing budget.
Cost = total built-up area × (base rate × quality factor × city factor × floor factor). Add 10–15% contingency on top.
Building on a plot you've sized in local units? Convert it first with the land area converter. Funding the build with a construction loan? Estimate the EMIs with the EMI calculator.
